Final Project:

You’re going to sell the…

Conestoga wagon!

The Conestoga Wagon was the most popular way to travel for a really long time!  You weren’t a pioneer unless you were traveling in one of these sweet rides.  You have been hired by a Lancaster Wagon manufacturer to come up with an Advertising Campaign for the Conestoga Wagon.  What’s an advertising campaign, you ask?

Well, that’s when you create a bunch of ways, like commercials and posters, to let people know about a product.  It usually comes with some type of slogan, too.

Get into a group of 5 or 6 and work together to complete this project.

Here’s what you need to do:

1.       Poster:  It should be colorful, and tell all about the product you’re selling.  It should also have a slogan, and some good reasons why people would want to buy it.

2.       Commercial:  This should be no less than a minute in length, and you will perform in front of class.

3.       Slogan:  This should appear on the poster and in the commercial.  Remember, make it catchy! Short and Sweet is the best way to go!

Here’s how you’ll be graded:

  1. Poster:
    1. Colorful:  Poster is colored and neatly written.
    2. Informative:  Poster has slogan, and product information.
  2. Commercial:
    1. Time: At least 30 seconds
    2. Informative:  Commercial tells about the product- the slogan mentioned.
    3. Performance:  Well acted with enthusiasm, catchy, funny, etc.
